Opihi Gold Toned Earrings
Opihi shell earrings locally picked in Hawaiʻi. These pieces are vintage dead stock from the 1970ʻs. No two Opihi shells are exactly alike and the art of beautifying the shell requires the ability to bring out and retain the individual characteristics of each shell. Each one has been grounded, shaped, and polished by hand. The final product is a natural, iridescent “jewel”. Each shell is placed in an ornate setting which dangles from a gold studded post. The gold is a good quality or heavy plate (electro plated). The overall length is approximately 2 inches in length and is lightweight.
