OUR STORY

We are a husband and wife team who have a deep seeded passion and love for all things mea Hawaiʻi. Corrina, being raised around an Ohana of collectors and her parents' antique business of more than 30 years, naturally followed in her kupunaʻs footsteps. What started out as a love affair has now evolved over the years into a business.

We strive to create unique handmade pieces of jewelry and accessories inspired by culture and place.

We also enjoy breathing new life into nostalgic pieces by infusing them with contemporary and traditional art forms. In addition, we combine practices with a bit of modern day flair to make it our own, restore and preserve vintage Hawaiiana.

The Meaning Behind AUMOANA

Aumoana was given as a navigational name to my grandmother, which also means "to travel on an open sea."

A pure Hawaiian from Halawa, Molokai, she was a musician and a lei maker who was filled with much aloha.

Aumoana Designs is a representation of all the different parts of me: what I love, my talent, my ʻohana, my hardwork, and my love for Hawaiian culture and everything it represents. I am passionate about all mea (mea. 1. n. Thing, person, matter, stuff, object.) Hawaiʻi and have been taught a few different cultural practices throughout my life.

I continue to carry my grandmother close to my heart and try to live as she did.
